1. Find a woman who will take good care of you, but will also let herself be taken cared of. Especially in this day and age when even women are focused with their own careers, it would still be nice to find a woman who can find the time to take care of you and your family. A woman basically knows how to nurture and care for others. To know that this won't be neglected once you are in the relationship is most comforting. However, she must also let you take care of her. Some women tend to take the nurturing role to the point of being a martyr. Make sure she doesn't do this because this is potentially damaging not only to her but also to the relationship and, if ever, your family. With men struggling to be true to the role of provider and protector, a woman must let a man do his part. This will further boost a man's confidence as this shows how the woman is certain that the man he loves is worthy of her vulnerability.

2. Choose a woman who can be independent and is fairly confident. No man needs a clingy creature, sometimes to the point of being an irritating nag, to keep him on a choke hold. A woman who knows her own strengths, uses her head and voices out her opinions is very much attractive. After all, you are looking for a partner in life, and not a baby. You need someone who you will treat as an equal, whom you respect, and in turn, will respect you. She also has to be able to downplay her insecurities and be able to resolve them, by accepting that she is imperfect, but she is a jewel as well. She must know how to stand on her own and be able to be happy and have fun even without you.

3. Make sure that she also intellectually stimulates you and can keep up her end of the conversation. The bimbo image will no longer result to lasting relationships. This keeps you on edge, apart from the attraction you have for each other. Plus you'll never get bored with a woman who constantly feeds your mind.

4. If a girl can be comfortable around the people around you, whether they be your beer buddies, business partners or your own family, then you will definitely enjoy her company. More importantly, if she wins the thumbs up of friends and family, then you can be sure she can stay with you for a very long time.

5. Whether you take a girl to eat at a hotdog stand or you take her to the fanciest restaurant, if she isn't bothered about what she eats or where she is but she can act as if she belongs in that place, then congratulations! You have found a girl you will never be ashamed of. She enjoys the simple treats you give her and she can also enjoy an elegant setting, without you having to constantly point out which silverware she has to use. She would also know how to relate to people of different social standing.

6. Find a woman who can trust you (assuming of course that you are worthy of that trust). A woman being jealous every now and then is acceptable, but dealing with constant paranoia? Not good. Just make sure that you will never ever break her trust because you can be sure she will never make you forget it.

7. It is rare to find a woman who truly understands a man: his need for space, constant ego boosts and his pride. So at least, find a woman who would be willing to understand, and would not constantly complain. Not only will this give you less headaches, you will feel less likely to just push each other way to avoid conflict.

8. She accepts you for who you are. And I mean everything about you, including the fact that you can be icky at times. You might smell bad, get a big beer belly, sweat a lot or snore so loudly, she would still stay, love you and still consider you her prince charming.

9. Lastly, she provides motivation and inspiration to you. This alone is an indication that she is Miss Right. No wonder how cheesy it sounds, with her around, it makes you want to be a better man.

Can We Actually Teach Love?
I had this marketing campaign program in my office. It's a nation-scale program and I was appointed to manage it. It basically teaches that more products will be sold if all our distributors are able to treat the customers with love and care.
The program sounds so great, and ideal. But as soon as the program is launched, we have many people oppose the campaign (as expected). What's worse is, some other people use the name of this campaign, and "in the name of love" they legalize their actions (which is NOT loving and caring).
Many religions have tried to teach us about love for many centuries. Few people might actually love others, but in general it's not quite a successful effort, if I may say, considering our current condition of humanity. Can love actually be taught?

Hello all,

As you all know, since our beloved chatroom #AnimeLover was closed, there were a lot of things happened. Not so long ago you all heard that I announce two chatrooms as the official replacement of #AnimeLover.

#NewAnimeLover as the public chatroom
#AnimeLoverVillage as the private chatroom for invited people

There are reasons of separating AL, but one of them is because of very different views between some admins/operators about how to run a chatroom.

NAL is mainly run by =willofthephoenix and =Raephire
ALV is mainly run by me, *charlenequek and ~SunSitsOnMountain

I too have my own view.

And as we all do, we learn, and we change if necessary.

In a chatroom, there are rules, of course. In real life, we also have rules. Some rules are strict (such as laws), and some are not strict (like unwritten common practices). I would like to admit that some of my views in the past might need to be readjusted.

Seeing the progress, I see that #NewAnimeLover is growing to be a different chatroom, not the one we used to have in the old #AnimeLover

Therefore, sadly I would like to announce that I have cancelled my statement to recognize #NewAnimeLover as the official replacement of #AnimeLover.
NAL is now an independent chatroom, not affiliated with AnimeLoverClub and #AnimeLoverVillage

ALV which is a private chatroom before is now public !

All former members of #AnimeLover, you are now free to choose whether you want to become a part of #AnimeLoverVillage or want to become a part of #NewAnimeLover.
#AnimeLoverVillage is the only official chatroom of AnimeLoverClub and the only official chatroom replacement of #AnimeLover.
If you want to get the old spirit of AnimeLover, please join #AnimeLoverVillage when it's already a public chatroom. Nice and friendly community.
It's your choice. I am not going to force anyone.

One important thing, the main administrators of ALV will be *charlenequek and ~SunSitsOnMountain, not me.
Due to my office work and my family in real life, I might not able to come to the chatroom as often as I did in 2005. But I will try my best to at least come in my appointment time, and sort out problems as far as I could.

If you are with us, please forget your old "problems" and hatred. Let's start a true reborn of AnimeLover with friendship and kindness.

Update About AnimeLover

Dear all AnimeLover members,

Sadly I have received final decision from dAmn admin that #AnimeLover is going to stay closed. So there won't be any #AnimeLover chatroom in the future. I thank you very much for all your support, I apologize I couldn't bring back our "original" room.

But we (me and some friends from AL) decided to give a second chance to our beloved community. We have created new generations of our chatroom. Not just one chatroom, but two chatrooms !
This first one is #NewAnimeLover, this is the public version of AnimeLover
The second one is #AnimeLoverVillage, this is the private version of AnimeLover

To be able to enter ALV, you must get invited. If you are former member of AnimeLover, you can send note to ~charlenequek asking for invitation.
If you are new member, you can come to NAL, we will select few number of people in NAL and invite them to ALV.

NAL and ALV, both official new version of AnimeLover, but the rules are very different due to the characteristic of the rooms (one for private, selected members; one for public)

NAL is using new ranks, not the ranks you used to see in AL. Btw, those ranks are also created by me, with some inputs from =willofthephoenix The idea is to avoid confusion because people might has different ranks in ALV and NAL.

Our "original" ranks (villagers, farmers, hunters, etc) is used in ALV, so when you get invited, you will get your old rank back

For our beloved community, please forget all past problems and dislikes. Please forgive people. Let's start a new beginning with friendly and positive spirit

AnimeLover is closed?

Dear all AnimeLover members,

As you know, our beloved chatroom was closed by dAmn admin. Reasons : too many complaints and unresolved case. I received MANY msn messages asking me to ask for a reopening. So I talked to one of dAmn admin @madnessism and got some very useful advice.

So, here is my statements :

1. Please do not come to #MNAdmin and ask for #AnimeLover reopening. The only person can ask for a reopening is me.

2. At the beginning, I was going to ask for reopening myself. But I decided to have some time to think. Why? Because it was expected from me to resolve all the problems in the chatroom I created, meaning, solving the problems in #AnimeLover is my responsibility under dAmn rule.

3. And I CAN NOT resolve all those problems myself. If reopening #AnimeLover means that I have to carry that responsibility alone, then I choose not to re-open #AnimeLover.

4. Long time ago, #AnimeLover was a very friendly and peaceful chatroom. People take care of each other, nice to each other. People help each other to build this community, not me alone.

5. So, I will only ask for re-open #AnimeLover if I have enough support (and help) from you who are willing to help me to maintain this chatroom and not to have "everyday fights" like what we have lately.

6. I have real life to live. I have works. I have family. I have my beloved wife waiting for me to come home every night. So I can't sort out all the problems in AL alone by myself.

7. If you care, and you wish for AnimeLover to be opened again. Post your comments/supportive words here. Please no sarcasm to dAmn admins, they do a good job.

8. And giving support means STOP FIGHTING ! Our chatroom will be a lot better without fights all days. Admins and operators in my opinion are supposed to help maintaining the room, not to solve personal conflicts between members.

9. In few days I shall see how many support will I receive.

Eye Problem
Okay, I know it's been a while since the last time someone saw me online in dA and in AnimeLover. First off, my deepest apology. It's not my intention to "disappear". I had a serious eye disease about 3 weeks ago. Some kind of bacteria attacking my left eye on the cornea. The bacteria blocked the eye lens so it disturbed my ability to see.
The first doctor I came do game me wrong analysis. Instead of mentioning about bacteria, he said that my left eyeball was injured from dust. And so I was given wrong medicine for 2 day. When my eye got worse, I got suspicious and went to the second doctor. There I took full lab test and the bacteria was found. Doctor said that I was lucky that I took the test soon enough, or I probably will lose my ability to see from my left eye.
In result, I must use eye drop every hour in the first week. 3 different kinds of eyedrops (antibiotic, tears substitute, medicine eye drop). This got worse in the second week because the antibiotic failed to kill the bacteria, and so I must took different eyedrops every 30 minutes !
By the end of second week, my eye condition was a bit better. It's not so red anymore, and I started to regain my ability to see. Still a bit blurred, but I was relieved enough.
Third week is recovery week. Eye drop every 2 hours. Slowly regain my visions. I can start reading normally again.
Now is the beginning of fourth week. Must say that I'm 90% recovered. My left eye already looks normal. But the ability to see has not fully recovered. Probably will take another 1 or 2 weeks. Hopefully by the end of 5th week I already got my eye function 100% normal again. Wish me luck.
Because of my eye condition, I am not allowed to use computer for more than 30 minutes straight (now is better, 1 hour). I must take a break after 1 hur working with computer. So please understand that I'm using my computer time mostly for my office work. dA will have to wait until I don't have monitor restriction anymore.
